On 15 March 2022, Empower experienced a truly momentous day as we came together to build Aunty Aggie’s home. From the foundation to the finishing touches, every part of her home was completed in a single day — a beautiful display of what can happen when a community unites with purpose.
As an NPO, Empower is continually looking for ways to Empower the Champion within communities. Aunty Aggie is undoubtedly one of those champions.
She is a woman of integrity, strength, and compassion. The way she lives her life and serves those around her is deeply inspiring. Aunty Aggie has continually given back to her community, and she lovingly cares for six children as a devoted foster mother, providing them with a home filled with care, guidance, and stability.
We wanted to honour her heart and the difference she makes every day. Building this home was our way of saying thank you — a small token of appreciation for the incredible woman she is and the lives she continues to impact.

To eradicate unemployment and poverty in the community. In the process of achieving this objective, we hope to connect people, support ideas and provide a platform for them to grow emotionally, relationally and spiritually before being launched successfully into a job creation environment.
